Founded in 2016 by Jean-Charles Samuelian and Charles Gorintin, Alan is the first independent digital health insurance in France since 1986.
By providing our members with a delightful health insurance bundled with innovative healthcare services, Alan's long-term goal is to offer personalised healthcare to millions of Europeans, and beyond.

Our headquarters are in Paris and we have a distributed workforce across France, Spain and Belgium as well as a few Alaners travelling and working from other countries thanks to our flexible policy.

Hiring top talent is key so we don’t want to be restricted to a small number of cities, therefore in the countries we are already present in, Alaners can be based fully remotely. More European countries are soon to be added to the list! Furthermore, we also offer the flexibility to be based temporarily in another country in a European timezone.

We want to get to know you, and for you to learn about us. We aim for our successful candidates to gather enough insight into our culture & mission to make an informed decision to join us!
A video call to learn more about you and your career ambitions. Also for you to enrich your knowledge about Alan, the team and the role.
We have a strong written culture (in English) so we want to assess your ability to articulate a comprehensive and argued point of view in a concise way.
This interview is a deep dive into the technical skills required to succeed in the job you are applying for.
This interview is conducted by someone with a different expertise to you, to assess your cultural fit to Alan, to our values and working methods.
We sometimes ask for professional references before we proceed to the next stage.
You will spend the day with us (remotely) meeting different Alaners during our assessments and interviews. It will give you true insight into the Day in the Life of an Alaner!
We commit to providing feedback within 2 working days maximum and if all goes well, you will receive your offer!
It varies from candidate to candidate depending on their availability and if they are in other interview processes. Most stages don’t require you to work on a project at home so we can move quickly between each stage if we need to.
Yes — our business language is English, all our written communication is in English, as is a large proportion of our oral communication. So an advanced level of written & spoken English is required.
We look for an approach that reflects our internal way of communication - we simplify by communicating with a clear structure, we back up what we say with examples and data points. The importance of this step is often underestimated by candidates but it’s a key one as writing is at the centre of our culture and ways of working.
